DAVID COLEMAN: How area players fared in college games

PORT ARTHUR —

Here are the efforts by former Southeast Texas players in the collegiate ranks over the Oct. 20 weekend. Players are included when they record statistics, start the game or reach career milestones. Players who are being redshirted or do not play are not included.



Four Year Colleges



Michael Barnes, Missouri Valley College, DB (Central): Barnes made one tackle in the 39-7 victory over Graceland, giving him 36 tackles this season.



Reggie Begelton, Lamar, WR (West Brook): Begelton caught five passes for 50 yards in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas. The redshirt freshman has 15 catches for 121 yards this season.



Nick Bryant, Stephen F. Austin, LB (West Brook): Bryant had two tackles in the 44-10 victory over Nicholls State, giving him three tackles this season.



Joshua Chatman, McMurry, WR (West Brook): Chatman had four catches for 21 yards in the 28-20 victory over Incarnate Word. The senior has 26 catches for 230 yards and one TDs this season.



Blake Chavis, Lamar, DL (West Brook): Chavis had one tackle in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas, giving him 15 tackles this season.



Terrell Clark, Grand View, LB (Memorial):  Clark had two tackles in the 37-25 victory over Siena Heights, giving him five tackles this season.



Collin Garrett, Stephen F. Austin, LB (West Brook): Garrett led the Lumberjacks with 10 tackles and had a forced fumble in the 44-10 victory over Nicholls State. The sophomore has 66 tackles, including seven for a loss, one pass broken up and one forced fumble this season.



DePauldrick Garrett, Lamar, RB (West Orange-Stark): Garrett had 25 carries for 91 yards and a TD in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas. The junior has 323 rushing yards and two TDs this season.



Ben Goodman, Kansas, DE (West Brook): Goodman had a sack in the 52-7 loss to No. 9 Oklahoma, giving him nine tackles this season.



Ryan Grant, Tulane, WR (West Brook): Grant caught six passes for 115 yards and a TD in the 24-20 loss to Texas-El Paso. The senior has 31 catches for 474 yards and three TDs this season.



Adrian Guillory, Lamar, DB (Central): Guillory had five tackles, including two for a loss, in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas, giving him 29 tackles this season.



Jacoby Hale, Utah, LB (Central): Hale had four tackles, including one for a loss, and broke up a pass in the 21-7 loss to No. 8 Oregon State, giving him 27 tackles this season.



Zack Hollier, Grand View, LB (West Brook): Hollier had two tackles in the 37-25 victory over Siena Heights, giving him 28 tackles this season.



Keenan Holman, Southern Methodist, WR (Central): Holman caught a 43-yard TD pass in the 72-42 victory over Houston. The junior has 261 receiving yards and two TDs this season.



Ortavious Hypolite, Stephen F. Austin, DB (West Orange-Stark): Hypolite had one tackle in the 44-10 victory over Nicholls State, giving him seven tackles this season.



Justin Isadore, Stephen F. Austin, LB (Ozen): Isadore had three tackles and recovered a fumble in the 44-10 victory over Nicholls State, giving him four tackles this season.



Willie Jefferson, Stephen F. Austin, DE (Ozen): Jefferson had two tackles, including one for a loss, and broke up a pass in the 44-10 victory over Nicholls State, giving him 25 tackles this season.



Dravannti Johnson, Incarnate Word, LB (Nederland): Johnson had one tackle in the 28-20 loss to McMurry, giving him 18 tackles this season.



Shane McCardell, Mississippi State, DE (West Brook): McCardell had two tackles and a sack in the 45-3 victory over Middle Tennessee, giving him five tackles this season.



Christine Michael, Texas A&M, RB (West Brook): Michael rushed for 27 yards and scored a TD in the 24-19 loss to No. 6 Lousiana State. The senior has rushed for 196 yards and five TDs this season.



Mark Murrill, Lamar, DT (Lumberton): Murrill had three tackles, including one for a loss, in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas, giving him 27 tackles this season.



Keith O'Neal, Missouri Valley College, RB (Central): O’Neal had seven carries for 20 yards in the 39-7 victory over Graceland. The junior has rushed for 212 yards and a TD this season.



John Prescott, Lamar, DL (Ozen): Prescott had three tackles and broke up a pass in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas, giving him 21 tackles this season.



Chris Raggett, McNeese State, S (Ozen): Raggett had three tackles, including one for a loss, in the 45-10 loss to Sam Houston State, giving him 19 tackles this season.



Taylor Reed, Southern Methodist, LB (West Brook): Reed had five tackles, including one for a loss, and two interceptions in the 72-42 victory over Houston. The senior has 42 tackles, two interceptions, three sacks, three pass breakups and one quarterback hit this season.



Bruce Reyes, Missouri Valley College, QB (West Brook): Reyes completed 13 of 20 passes for 211 yards with one TD and one INT in the 39-7 victory over Graceland. The sophomore also rusehd for 21 yards on three carries and has thrown for 1,070 yards and seven TDs this season.



Jarrian Rhone, West Texas A&M, WR (Silsbee): Rhone had four catches for 89 yards and a TD in the 44-21 victory over Eastern New Mexico. The redshirt freshman has 17 catches for 224 yards and two TDs this season.



Elandon Roberts, Morgan State, LB (Memorial): Roberts had seven tackles in the 21-20 loss to Howard, giving him 60 tackles this season.



Radermon Scypion, Houston, DL (Memorial): Scypion had two tackles and broke up a pass in the 72-42 loss to Southern Methodist, giving him 14 tackles this season.



Victor Spikes, Utah, LB (Central): Spikes had one tackle in the 21-7 loss to No. 8 Oregon State, giving him six tackles this season.



Branden Thomas, Lamar, DB (Central): Thomas had one tackle in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas, giving him 26 tackles this season.



Seth Thomas, McNeese State, CB (West Orange-Stark): Thomas had one tackle and one interception in the 45-10 loss to Sam Houston State. The senior has 24 tackles, including one for a loss, two interceptions, three pass breakups and a quarterback hit this season.



Josh Wilson, Lamar, DB (West Brook): Wilson had one tackle in the 24-14 loss to Central Arkansas.



Two Year Colleges



Jaylon Howard, Trinity Valley, DB (Memorial): Howard had three tackles and broke up a pass in the 37-16 loss to Tyler Junior College, giving him nine tackles this season.



Derrick Ledet, Kilgore College, WR (West Orange-Stark): Ledet had five catches for 28 yards in the 53-0 victory over Southeast Prep. The freshman has seven catches for 38 yards this season.



Davonte McMillian, Trinity Valley, LB (Memorial): McMillian had eight tackles and a sack in the 37-16 loss to Tyler Junior College, giving him 27 tackles this season.
