Dayton passes by Indians STEVEN COHANThe Port Arthur News Powell closed the scoring in the fourth quarter taking a 21-yard pass from Charles with 10:44 left in the game.
For PN-G, Josh Wright was one of the bright spots in the defeat. Wright rushed 17 times for 128 yards. Hemmings, despite not playing in the second half, finished with 89 yards on 13 carries. The Indians, who managed only three passing yards, finished with only 217 yards of total offense. With the victory, Dayton improved to 7-3, 6-1. The Broncos will play either Smiley or Crosby in playoff action next week at Crosby.
