Locals weighed in on the national issue of a pending tar sands pipeline possibly leading right to Port Arthur. Our own Memorial Titan's fought their way to the Texas State Semi-Finals and Bum Phillips was honored by Port Neches and Nederland naming a roadway in his name. This is just a small sampling of the many stories that found a place on pages of The Port Arthur News in 2011.
