First Church of God, 3800 Jimmy Johnson Blvd., will feature guest speaker, Sonny Carlin of Heavenly Feathers Ministries At 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, call 721-5187.

Historic Israel Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 948 Texas Ave., will host a “Fellowship Community Cook-out and Revival” beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday. There will be free food, guest speakers, singing and fellowship. For more information, call 985-5412 or 985-2257.

Guiding Star Baptist Church will host its “Pastor’s Aide” third anniversary celebration beginning at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Rev. Timothy Anderson and Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church will be the guests.

A “Preach-A-Thon” service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 3. The event is sponsored by the Pastor’s Aide Auxiliary. Guests will be: The Rev. Trice and East Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church; the Rev. Chew and Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. May and Guiding Star Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Pegross and First Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. Hudson and Cathedral of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

First Christian Church of Port Arthur, 5856 Ninth Ave., is now registering students for the “Mother’s Day Out” program. Children from 1 year to pre-kindergarten will meet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. For more information, call 962-7714.

Rose of Sharon Baptist Church will host its first "Seasonal Tea" at 3 p.m. Sunday, in the Solid Rock Baptist Church Family Life Center. The Rev. SOLID ROCK BAPTIST Church, 1337 E. Fifth St., will feature a “Women’s Missionary Union Pastoral Leadership and Authority” conference at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Michael Allen Sigur Sr. will be the guest speaker.

A “Pastor’s Wives and Minister’s Wives” fellowship will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The service is titled, “God Bless The People That Have The Right Attitude Toward Their Pastor”. The event is sponsored by the Solid Rock Minister’s Wives Ministry. For more information, call 982-9431 or 983-7654.

Antioch Apostolic Church, 4737 10th St., will host a Women’s Bible study at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. The Rev. A.R. Getwood will be the teacher.
