Nederland band members earn spots in region/area bands

NEDERLAND — Nederland High School Band members had a strong showing at the All-Region-Band Tryouts held at Lumberton High School recently.

A total of 42 NHS students earned spots in the All-Region Band and will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Nederland High School Performing Arts Center.

NHS’ All-Region Band members include:

• Flute: Hannah Gray, Dylan Eccles-Locke, Kaylyn Evans

• Clarinet: Sarah Sauceda, Megan Hebert, Laura Binagia, Michael Smith, Kelly Constance, Victoria Martinez, Rachel Richardson, Sam Arisco.

• Bass clarinet: Whitney Hinson, Breanna Manes

• Alto Saxophone: Terrence Quensenberry, Brett Landry

• Tenor Saxophone: Matt LeNoir

• Trumpet: Chris Stiles, John LeNoir, Micael Tran, Tyler Scates, Bret Chamblee, Chris Carranza, Dalton Washburn, George Hernandez, Austin Halter, Armant Touche III

• Horn: Brandon Laird, Erica Long

• Trombone: Eric Rose, Alex Cammack, Chad Merchant, Brandon Rodriguez, Logan Rogers

• Baritone: Caitlyn Davis

• Tuba: Gannon Miller, Colin Mai, Carlos Giron

• Percussion: Daniel Sharpless, Stephen Weaver, Jacob Hollier, Stephanie Cowart, Zach Gonzalez
