PORT NECHES —
Christopher McMahon is ready to use his business experience to help Port Neches continue to move forward.
McMahon, 45, is running for the Place 1 seat on Port Neches City Council.
The chief operations officer at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, McMahon believes the current City Council is doing a good job in moving the city in a positive direction.
“I don’t want to see that stop,” McMahon said. “Port Neches is a landlocked city and I want to see it grown from within and grow the tax base.”
McMahon has more than 20 years’ experience in the healthcare business.
“Obviously, that’s very challenging, especially in these days but I think I’m up to the task.”
McMahon’s platform is “building the city from within.”
A Nederland High School graduate, McMahon attended Lamar University and “got to Port Neches as fast as he could,” he said.
He and his wife, Gina, have three children and are members of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
McMahon has been involved in his children’s sports activities such as football and baseball.
