PN Trade Days to offer massages and more

PORT NECHES — Feel a little tense? Need a massage? Then visit the Port Neches Trade Days this weekend.

The monthly event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday on Port Neches Avenue.

The price for massages; $1 per minute, Trade Days organizer Liz Ozment said. Sue Broussard, a licensed masseuse has 25 years experience. Broussard will be located at the Land of Oz on the avenue.

Pony rides and a petting zoo will also be featured during the family oriented event and vendors will sell their wares. Entertainment will be provided, Ozment said, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, and avenue shops will be open for business both days.

Neches FCU is selling hunting and fishing licenses to members

PORT NECHES — Neches Federal Credit Union is selling hunting and fishing licenses for the upcoming season. Licenses are available to Neches FCU members only and are offered at all five credit union locations.

Price depends on license type. The more popular Super Combo is $64 and the Senior Super, available for ages 65 and older, is $30.

PN Senior Center to host musical program Sept. 2

PORT NECHES — The Port Neches Senior Citizens Center will present a musical program from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 2 at the center, 633 Grigsby Ave.

Refreshments will be provided and all senior citizens and their families are invited. The event is planned for Labor Day weekend. Officials at the center said a live band will perform and invites the seniors and their families who have talent and can play an instrument to feel free and sing along.

The center is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for activities and daily noon meal, including diabetic meals. It is suggested for those 60 and older to donate $2 each day, but no one is turned away. Call the day prior to reserve a meal.
