PORT ARTHUR — St. Mark Baptist Church, 6200 Roosevelt Ave., will host a barbecue dinner sale beginning at 9 a.m. Friday. Dinners will be $7 each.

KPC Junior Division No. 164 will sponsor a casino bus trip Sunday. The bus will depart at 12:30 p.m. from St. John's Catholic Church. The cost of the trip will be $10 per person. For more information, additional pickup location or to reserve a seat, call Cynthia at 332-9098 or Liz at 960-4181.

Golden Triangle Cajun French Music Association will host its 21st annual food and music festival beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Jefferson County Singles Club, 7725 Green Ave., Nederland. Admission will be $8 per person and children 12 and under will be admitted free. Musical entertainment will be provided by Cheryl Cormier and Magic Sounds. Knights of Peter Claver Council and Court No. 182, 515 Savannah Ave., will celebrate Juneteenth with a Zydeco dance from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, June 18. Friends and Family of the Ogden Family will host a benefit beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Embers, 3519 North Twin City Highway. There will be food, prize give-a-ways, a live auction, horseshoes and a washer tournament.

Mexican Heritage Society will host a casino bus trip to Grand Casino Coushatta Saturday, July 9. The bus will leave at 8 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. from Wal-Mart parking lot on Twin CIty Highway. Port Arthur Guns and Hoses Benevolent Fund will host its annual benefit Saturday, Sept. 10, at the 1-IN-100 Gun Club, 1228 FM 421, Lumberton. The event will be a 12 station, 100 bird shoot. Teams will consist of five players and the cost will be $500 per team. Food drinks and prizes will be provided to registered teams. Port Arthur Guns and Hose Benevolent Fund is a 501C9 non-profit organization created to directly assist and impact the lives of peace officers and fire fighters serving the citizens of Port Arthur by assisting its members with out of pocket medical expenses. Wesley First United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Ave., will host Zumba classes from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Classes will be $5 and proceeds will benefit the children’s playground facility. Childcare will be available.

Knights of Columbus Council No. 3195, 6621 West Port Arthur Road, hosts dinner sales from 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays. Fried fish or shrimp dinners are $7 each. Orders are available for dine-in or take-out. For more information, call Norris Simon at 736-3344.

Port Arthur International Seafarers Center, 401 Houston Ave., is collecting items for their Christmas at Sea gift box program. Items needed include: Socks, toothpaste, envelopes, disposable razors and writing paper. Items may be dropped off at the Port Arthur Seafarers center or by calling Robert Collins at 982-4504.

Trinity Lutheran Thrift Shop, 2400 Procter St., is open from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. All proceeds benefit mission work.

Political fundraiser for Warren Field on June 10. Catfish dinners $7 each. Pick-up time begins at 10 a.m. Friday at Kelley’s Kitchem, 600 Austin Ave. For more information, call 332-2484.
