PORT ARTHUR — Port Arthur Police are investigating a shooting that left a man with minor injuries at Carver Terrace Apartments on Wednesday.

Police responded to the incident about 4 p.m. Oct. 23 at the apartments in the 1400 block of DeWalt. The victim received a flesh wound to the ankle and was treated at Christus Hospital-St. Mary.

Witnesses told police that the victim and the shooter knew each other and the shooting was likely due to a disagreement about money but when officers arrived at the hospital, the victim said he did not know the shooter and did not wish to file charges, PAPD Sgt. Scott Gaspard said.

No arrests have been made in the incident.
