Groves Police Department responded to the following calls from Oct. 22-Oct. 28:

Wednesday, Oct. 22
• A 19-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 2300 block of Post Oak.
• An aggravated assault was investigated in the 5200 block of 33rd Street.
• Check Forgeries were reported in the 5100 block of West Parkway.
• Two males were arrested for public intoxication in the 2300 block of Post Oak after officers were called to investigate a disturbance.

Thursday, Oct. 23
• An 18-year-old male was arrested for burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault after he entered a residence in the 6300 block of Van Buren and assaulted the resident.
• A 24-year-old male was arrested on warrants when he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 5800 block of Hogaboom.
• A 24-year-old male was arrested on warrants in the 5800 block of Hogaboom.
• A 21-year-old male was stopped for a traffic violation and was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and warrants in the 2600 block of Boyd.
• A door was forcibly opened to gain entry to a building in the 3500 block of East Parkway.

Friday, Oct. 24
• A disturbance was investigated in the 6900 block of 32nd Street.
• An identity theft was reported in the 5000 block of Lincoln.
• A disturbance involving two juveniles was investigated in the 6200 block of Jackson.
• A Next Rampage 20-inch bicycle was stolen from the 3100 block of Charles.

Saturday, Oct. 25
• A 41-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication in the 2000 block of Vincent Drive.
• A ladies purse was stolen in the 6200 block of Jackson.
• A 2001 Ford F-250 pick up truck was stolen from the 6600 block of 32nd Street and was later recovered in Port Arthur.

Sunday, Oct. 26
• A vehicle parked in the 4600 block of Wilson was struck by a baseball bat by someone in a dark colored pick up truck.

Monday, Oct. 27
• Officers were called to investigate a disturbance in the 3700 block of Grant.
• A 59 year old male was arrested on warrants after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 3000 block of Taft.

Tuesday, Oct. 28
• A 29-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 5500 block of 25th Street.
• A red tool box with assorted tools were stolen from a building in the 6600 block of 39th Street.
• A 21-year-old male was arrested on a warrant in the 3800 block of Lincoln.
• A 30-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 2500 block of Twin City.
• A 34-year-old female was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 3700 block of Grant.

HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS
Be certain that children can be seen. Reflectors, glow sticks, flashlights and bright clothing can increase their visibility. Approach only houses that are lit, and advise children and teenagers to never go inside the home of a stranger. Remind all household drivers to remain cautious and drive slowly throughout the community.
