Groves Police Department responded to the following calls from Oct. 15-Oct. 21:

Wednesday, Oct. 15
• While on routine patrol in the 3000 block of Taft Avenue, officers observed a maroon pickup truck with Louisiana license plates traveling at a speed above the posted speed. After stopping the vehicle and running a check, officers learned the truck was listed stolen out of Port Arthur. The driver was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
• An assault/family violence incident was reported in the 2000 block of Main Avenue in which a window glass was broken.

Thursday, Oct. 16
• On routine patrol in the 5200 block of Gulfway Drive an officer observed a white pickup truck failing to maintain a single lane in traffic. Police stopped the vehicle and later arrested a 33-year-old male for the offense of failing to display a drivers license and was also given a citation for the offense of open container.
• A local business in the 6000 block of 39th Street reported forged checks were cashed at that location on Aug. 25.
• Debit card abuse was reported from an account at a local credit union where the card was used to purchase an airline ticket over the Internet.
• Theft from a customer was reported at a local business in the 3300 block of West Parkway in which $600 cash was reported stolen.

Friday, Oct. 17
• A 23-year-old female was arrested on warrants after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 5300 block of Gulfway.
• A white 1990 Geo Prism was stolen from the 2600 block of Ruby.
• Tools, a television, microwave oven and lawn equipment was stolen from a house in the 2400 block of Owens.

Saturday, Oct. 18
• A 24 year old male was arrested for Public Intoxication at a business in the 3400 Twin City.
• A vehicle window was broken in the 3200 block of Woodlawn.
• Someone scratched two vehicles parked in the 6100 block of Cove.

Sunday, Oct. 19
• A 38-year-old male was arrested on warrants after he was stopped for a traffic violation in the 5000 block of 39th Street.
• A disturbance was investigated in the 6400 block of Verde.

Monday, Oct. 20
• A vehicle was damaged in the 4700 block of Twin City.

Tuesday, Oct. 21
• A neighbor complained about loud music in the 3800 block of Pure Atlantic.
• Identity Theft was reported in the 4900 block of Foster.
• A 34-year-old female was arrested on warrants in the 3700 block of Twin City.
