Groves Police Department responded to the following calls from Sept. 24- Sept. 30:
Wednesday, Sept. 24
• Three white males were hired to cut a tree in the 5200 block of North Street. After they left the job, the owner noticed his Echo chain saw was missing.
• A 44-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 3700 block of Pure Atlantic.
• A 32” RCA plasma TV, a 52” RCA plasma TV and DVD movies were stolen from the 6400 block of Warren.
• Someone vandalized a yard in the 3000 block of Berry.
• Medication was taken from a home in the 2100 block of Orange Acres.
• Two males, ages 15 and 18, were arrested for burglary of a habitation after they entered a house in the 4900 block of Kent.

Thursday, Sept. 25
• A 43-year-old male was arrested after a disturbance in the 3900 block of Lincoln.
• A 30-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest, attempted escape from custody and retaliation in the 5300 block of Gulfway.

Friday, Sept. 26
• A 24 year old female was arrested on warrants in the 6200 block of Mire.
• A 53-year-old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 5400 block of 39th Street
• A 28-year-old male was arrested for burglary of a motor vehicle in the 6200 block of Gulfway.
• A HK 308 rifle, LC Smith 2 gauge single shot shotgun, a Poulan lawn mower, B&D trimmer, a 19” colt V and a gold coin collection were stolen from the 3200 block of East Drive.
• A check forgery was reported in the 4500 block of Bellaire.
• A plastic lawn spay was stolen from a garage in the 3200 block of Hickory.

Saturday, Sept. 27
• A 45-year-old female was arrested for public intoxication in the 2100 block of Main.
• A 55-year-old male was arrested on warrants in the 2600 block of Montrose.
• A 35-year-old male was arrested on warrants in the 2200 block of Little John.
• A 32-year-old male was arrested for driving without a driver’s license in the 6700 block of 25th Street.
• A 3- month-old red and white Pit Bull dog was stolen from a back yard in the 2800 block of Pearl.
• A disturbance was investigated in the 2200 block of Little John.
• A disturbance was investigated in the 5300 block of Gulfway.
• A couch and love seat were stolen from the 2700 block of Ruby.

Sunday, Sept. 28
• A 23-year-old male and a 24-year-old male were arrested for public intoxication in the 6300 block of 39th Street.
• A 32 year old male was arrested for public intoxication in the 5300 block of 39th Street.
• A 34-year-old male was arrested on a traffic violation and a 41-year-old passenger was arrested for public intoxication in the 2600 block of Main.
• A vehicle window was broken in the 3100 block of Hickory.
• Someone damaged the siding on a house in the 3900 block of Berry.
• Cash and a Lottery ticket was stolen from the 5300 block of Gulfway.
• A black microwave oven, pillows, a trash can and a telephone were stolen from a room in the 6200 block of Gulfway.
• Auto parts were stolen from the 3000 block of Bryan.
• A disturbance was investigated in the 3800 block of Main.
• Two runaways were reported in the 4900 block of Cleveland.

Monday, Sept. 29
• Coin collections, Thomas Jefferson and Nederland high school class rings and wedding ring sets were stolen from a house in the 4700 block of McKinley.

Tuesday, Sept. 30
• Personal checks and coins were stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of Owens.

TIP OF THE WEEK
When a school bus stops and flashes red lights, traffic approaching from either direction must stop before reaching the bus and remained stopped until directed to proceed.
