The Groves Police Department responded to the following calls from Aug. 27-Sept. 2: Wednesday, Aug. 27 • A 59-year-old man was arrested on warrants in the 5400 block of West Parkway. • A 33-year-old man was arrested on warrants in the 5800 block of 25th Street. • A 42-year-old male was arrested on warrants in the 3900 block of Pure Atlantic. • Officers responded to a disturbance in the 3100 block of 25th Street. • Someone busted out a window on a vehicle and stole a Sony Explode CD player, and a Sony amp in the 5300 block of Gulfway. Thursday, Aug. 28 • A Samsung Whacker Packer asphalt equipment was stolen from a parking lot in the 5100 block of East Parkway. • A Craftsman ratchet set, Boch air nail gun and five gallons of gasoline were stolen from a garage in the 3300 block of Kleespies. • A vehicle drove into the side of a garage causing damage to the brick, and then fled the scene in the 2400 block of Nottingham. • A tire was punctured on a vehicle in the 6700 block of 25th Street. • A 52 inch RCA digital TV was stolen from the 6700 block of Gulfway. Friday, Aug. 29 • A 54-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 4500 block of Twin City Hwy. • A juvenile runaway from Port Arthur was located in the 3200 block of Oak. • A forged check was reported from a resident in the 5000 block of Gulf. • A LG Chocolate cell phone was stolen from the 2200 block of Post Oak. • A 44-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 4500 block of Twin City. • A 40-year-old man was arrested on Port Arthur warrants in the 4500 block of Twin City. • A 32-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 2300 block of Main. • A 39-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 4500 block of Twin City. Saturday, Aug. 30 • Officers responded to a disturbance in the 6200 block of Mire. • A disturbance was reported in the 5500 block of Hogaboom. • A 24-year-old woman was arrested for DWI in the 3600 block of Main. Sunday, Aug. 31 • A disturbance was investigated in the 2800 block of Pearl. • A disturbance was investigated in the 2700 block of Taft. Monday, Sept. 1 • A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 6400 block of 39th Street. • A 25-year-old man was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 3800 block of Stuart. • A window was broken to gain entry to a house in the 5300 block of Port Neches Road. A Stevens 20-gauge double barrel shotgun, .22 caliber riffle, coin collection and a brown 2005 Kia Amanti were stolen. • Six sheets of Densglass gold exterior sheathing and 6 treated 2x4 lumber were stolen from the 2700 block of West Parkway. Tuesday, Sept. 2 • A 27-year-old man was arrested on Port Arthur warrants in the 4600 block of Twin City. • A 35-year-old man was arrested for assault in the 2600 block of Fourth Avenue. • A 29-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication in the 4800 block of Cleveland. • A 61-year-old man was arrested on a traffic violation in the 4800 block of Twin City. • A runaway report was taken in the 3200 block of Graves.
