The Groves Police Department responded to the following calls from July 30 Aug. 5:

Wednesday, July 30
• A 23-year-old man was arrested on Groves warrants in the 5200 block of East Parkway.
• Video games were stolen from a residence in the 4200 block of Willow Oak.
• The hood of a vehicle was scratched while parked in the 6100 block of Warren.
• A window on a front door on a house was busted out in the 2800 block of Rose.
• A Sony Explode 600 watt amp, Pioneer subwoofer and subwoofer plexiglass box were stolen from a vehicle in the 3000 block of Pearl.

Thursday, July 31
• Two men were arrested for aggravated robbery after a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint in the 6800 block of 25th Street.
• A 19-year-old man was arrested for criminal trespass in the 5800 block of West Jefferson.
• Medication was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 3500 block of Twin City.
• A black Craftsman tool box with assorted tools, a red tool box and a JVC CD player were stolen from a vehicle in the 5300 block of Gulfway.
• A littering complaint was filed in the 2900 block of Bryan.

Friday, Aug. 1
• Candy and drinks were stolen from the Groves National Little League concession stand in the 5100 block of Grant.
• A Craftsman tool box and a plastic tool box with assorted tools were taken from a vehicle in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
• A 61-year-old man was arrested for DWI in the 8100 block of Texas 87.
• Check forgeries were reported in the 3400 block of Twin City.
• Unauthorized charges were used on a credit card account over the Internet.
• Forged checks were passed at a business in the 6000 block of 39th Street.
• A 36-year-old woman was arrested on Port Neches warrants in the 3200 block of Taft.

Saturday, Aug. 2
• A criminal trespass warning was issued in the 3100 block of Graves.
• An officer was dispatched to the 4400 block of Roosevelt in reference to trespassing. It was reported that two male subjects entered the residence and assaulted the occupant.

Sunday, Aug. 3
• A vehicle window was broken to gain access to a Pioneer 12” speaker, Blaupunkt 12” speaker, a 850 watt amp and a Cobra radar detector from the 6400 block of Taylor.
• A red 3500 watt Honda generator on wheels and a 16” Craftsman chain saw were stolen from a storage building in the 6200 block of Washington.
• A 37-year-old man was arrested on Groves warrants and possession of marijuana in the 210 block of Vincent.

Monday, Aug. 4
• Unauthorized charges were made on a debit card account.
• A disturbance was investigated in the 6200 block of Willis.
• A dog at large complaint was made in the 5000 block of Bay.
• A door glass was broken on a house in the 4800 block of Lawndale.
• A 39-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 2600 block of Main.
• A 19-year-old woman was arrested on Groves warrants in the 3300 block of Charles.

Tuesday, Aug. 5
• A .38 Special revolver, a .25 semi-auto, costume jewelry and a black back pack were stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of Owens.
• A Feather Lite weed eater was stolen from the 2600 block of Montrose. An 18-year-old man was arrested for the theft.
• A Compaq Presario laptop computer was stolen from the 6100 block of Mire.

TIP OF THE WEEK
If you are going out of town, close and lock garage doors and windows. Ask a neighbor to occasionally park in your driveway. If you leave your car at home, park it as you normally would. Vehicles parked outside should be moved occasionally to appear that they are being used.
