Letter: Stop the flow across our border

PORT ARTHUR — Concerning all those illegals crossing our borders, there has to be a solution the authorities seem to have overlooked. How about a friendly conversation with the president of Mexico, and demand (yes, demand) that he stop the flow on his southern borders since that is where they are entering. Someone must be feeding them and providing them with transportation to our borders.

Our president has asked Congress for $3.7 billion to control this crisis. Send that bill to Mexico, which is causing all our problems. We have a military that should be able to convince “El Presidente” to reverse that flow.

And, as we all know, that if we native born citizens do something illegal, we will be punished according to our laws. There are presently more than 11 million illegal aliens living here among us, with no threat of punishment. In fact, both of our major political parties are right now trying to figure out how to make them all legal with a simple stroke of the pen. Let’s face it folks, it’s all about votes.

I was just wondering if all those millions were deported, what would happen to our unemployment rolls? The taxpayers of this country will have to pay that three-plus billion, and that will not be the total bill.

Mexico sends a lot of produce and manufactured goods across our borders. Shut off that flow and “El Presidente” will take come corrective action. Speak up, fellow citizens, before this country goes down the tubes. It stands to reason that if we reward those illegals with citizenship, that many more will arrive here knowing they will not be punished.

My fellow veterans, we fought for this country only to see it overthrown from within. God help us!
