Martha Adams Weaver, 92, formerly of Ivanhoe passed away on July 5, 2013. She was born on October 12, 1920 in New Orleans, LA to David Joseph and Mattie Adams. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Martha enjoyed a lengthy career as registered nurse and after she retired, she was particularly proud to wear the pink uniform of the Tyler County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a charter member of Our Lady of the Pines Alter Society and a member of the Ivanhoe Civic Club.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bert Weaver; her son Preston Weaver; and her sister Dorothy Welch. She is survived by her sons Brian Weaver and his wife Debra of Nederland, TX and Raymond Weaver and his wife Linda of London, England; her daughter Tobin Weaver of Houston, TX; daughter-in -law Sarah Weaver of Detroit, MI, seven grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 followed by a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 am with Father Michael Strother officiating with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
