Nora Riojas, 57, of Nederland, Texas passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston on Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born on October 18, 1955 to Natividad Hernandez Riojaz and Eliseo Riojaz in Alpine, Texas. Nora has been a resident of Nederland for over 38 years. She worked as an operator for Unocal for ten years and then worked at Motiva as an operator for 20 years. Nora was a very loving and caring person with a heart of gold, always thinking of others.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Fernando Castro, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her brother-in- law, Dale Harmon.
Nora is survived by her parents, Eliseo and Natividad Riojaz of Port Arthur, Texas, her sisters, Susie Harmon of Port Neches, Texas, Linda Martinez and husband Lupe of Port Arthur, Texas, her brothers, Eliseo Riojas, Jr. of Alaska and Roy Riojas and wife Paula of Georgia. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews (whom Nora loved as her own children) Sharon Martinez, Corey Harmon, Jeremy Riojas, Jennifer Martinez and Aaron Riojas, Claeb Harmon, her great nieces and nephews (whom Nora loved as her own grandchildren) Alyssa, Jake, Jackson and Cole.
