Loretta Broussard

    Loretta Broussard, 59, of Port Arthur, died Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Christus Hospital-St. Mary in Port Arthur.  She was born on June 18, 1953, to Lucille Boudreaux Broussard and Joseph Clyde Broussard, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. 

   Mary worked as a letter carrier and retired from the United States Postal Service after twenty years of service.  She enjoyed arts and crafts and playing games on the computer.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

   She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Riley of Baytown; grandchildren, David Jacobs, Brandon Jacobs, and Lindsey Riley; brother, Daniel Broussard and his wife, Jo, of Locassine; aunt, Dolly Trappey of Lafayette; cousins, Corrine Davidson, Fritz Trappey, and Pat Trappey; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

   She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mark Broussard, Johnny Broussard, and J.C. Broussard.

  A gathering of Ms. Broussard’s family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, June 7, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  Her committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
