PORT ARTHUR —
Joseph Herman Chilo, 53, went home to be with God on April 28, 2013. He was born April 9, 1960 in Galveston, Texas to Mary Chilo and the late Warren Minnard. He was a 1979 graduate of Lincoln High School and a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, TX. Joseph retired from Port Arthur ISD in 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Mitchell; his mother, Mary Chilo; two daughters, Ebony Jackson of Houston, TX and Leticia Kinchen of Port Arthur, TX; one son Bryne Roache of Port Arthur, TX; three sisters, Glenda Chilo, Dana Collins and Hattie Griffin (Tommy) all of Port Arthur, TX; four brothers Kery Chilo of Washington, DC, Warren Chilo of Port Arthur, Ray Chilo and Renwick Minnard (Brandy) of Beaumont, TX; 5 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a devoted friend Robert Graham, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart-St. Mary Catholic Church with a viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
