PORT ARTHUR —
Ray Harold Normand, 63, of Port Arthur, Texas departed this life April 21, 2013 at his home. He was born March 2, 1950 to the late Rev. Leonard C. and Kathryn Normand. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a 1968 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. He joined the United States Air Force in 1968 - 1972 after graduating from high school. He retired from Ameripol Synpol after 34 years. Ray answered his call and became an ordained minister on May 27, 2012.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Michael Normand; two sisters, Linda Adams and Wanda Normand; one sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Normand; and one nephew, Leonard Adams Jr.
Ray is survived by one beloved daughter, Alecia Normand; one brother, Alfred Normand; five sisters, Patricia Normand, Estella Normand, Arnel Normand, Yolanda Normand, and Orelia Normand all of Port Arthur, Texas. Two grandchildren: Thailan and Kacyn Normand of Port Arthur, Texas. One uncle, Gerald Normand of Beaumont, Texas; three aunts, Carole Hebert and Mary Ann Smith of Port Arthur, Texas and Bertha Dawson of Beaumont, Texas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives family, and friends.
Ray Harold Normand’s funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013. Viewing 9 am, Funeral 11 am at Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Delton Narcisse, Pastor. Rev. Leonard Adam Sr. is officiating. The burial services will conclude on May 6, 2013 at the National Veterans Memorial in Houston, Texas.
