Beatrice Jinez Cricchio

   Beatrice Jinez Cricchio, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Magnolia, Texas, surrounded by her family, at the age of 80. A memorial service will be held at Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur, Texas, on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 6 pm.

   Ms. Cricchio is survived by her beloved daughters; Jo Evelyn Hill, of Houston, Texas; Debra Jean Bland, of Port Arthur, Texas; and Kathleen Sue and her husband Don Chapman, of Magnolia, Texas. She is survived by her cherished granddaughters; Lexie Peveto, of New York City, New York; Brittany Hill, of Houston, Texas; Kelli Bland of Austin, Texas; Kassi and her husband, Derick Cooper, of College Station, Texas; Courtney LaBure of League City, Texas, and Ashleigh LaBure of Clear Lake, Texas. She is also survived by the pride and joy of her heart, her great-grandchildren; Camden Reece Cooper, Cayvin Kaloni, Vance Chirstopher Salinas, Vaughn Amos Crisp, and Avery Grace Cooper.

   Ms. Cricchio was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and graduated Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson High School in June of 1951.

   She was a skilled photo artist and photographer, winning numerous awards for her photography, artistry and lectures. Ms. Cricchio was awarded the Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). In 1980 she was awarded a Lifetime Membership to the PPA. Ms. Cricchio was also awarded for her lectures across Canada, Mexico, and Australia, and throughout the United States.

   Ms. Cricchio also owned and operated Cricchio Bridals and Formals, in Beaumont, Texas, for 15 years and enjoyed helping Texas and Louisiana brides with their wedding attire. She was a charter member and served as secretary and vice president of the Southwest Bridal Association.

   Ms. Cricchio was a member of Central Baptist Church Port Arthur.

   In lieu of flowers, Ms. Cricchio requested donations to Jeremiah’s Vision, the area’s charitable organization that has helped countless East Texas residents distressed by hurricane disasters.
