GROVES - Joe Billy Wolfe, 81, of Groves, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves. He was born on May 23, 1926 in Wannette, Oklahoma to G.W. “Pete” Wolfe and Mary Bodine Wolfe. He was retired as a supervisor from Texaco after 38 1/2 years of service. Joe had lived in Groves. He was a member of the Lutheran Layman’s League and a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Groves with Reverend Richard Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years; Mrs. Ruth Wolfe of Groves, daughter; Jennifer Wueller and husband, Butch of Port Arthur, four sons; Mark E. Wolfe, and wife, Nancy, James Kirby Wolfe and wife, Patti, Jonathan C. Wolfe and wife, Ruthie, and Chris A. Wolfe and wife, Donna all of Groves, two sisters; Evelyn Barnhart and husband, Newton of Pasadena, and Frances Flowers of Mims, FL, seventeen grandchildren; Michael Wueller, Aaron Wueller and wife, Anna Sue, Andrew Wueller and wife, Kelley, Grace Michalk and husband, Jeremy, Anna Ruth Wueller, Mary Wueller, Tara Cannon, Kristine Wolfe, Juli Schkade and husband, Todd, Peter Wolfe and wife, Teresa, Phillip Wolfe and wife, Tiffany, Joseph Wolfe, Matthew Wolfe, Benjamin Wolfe, Alvin Wolfe, Timothy Wolfe, and Nicholas Wolfe, eight great grandchildren; Hailey Zampini, Jarod Doyle, Chloe Cannon, Jeremy Michalk, Jr., Channing Schkade, Nathan Wolfe, Jeffrey Wolfe and Kadence Wolfe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; G.W. “Pete” and Mary Wolfe, brother; Alfred Wolfe, sisters; Doris Jean Tompkins and Lois Ann Rose, and granddaughter; Stephanie Wolfe.
His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Port Arthur- Sara Harrison Bush of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 78.
She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 18, 1929. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Sam Houston State University. Sara taught Senior English at Nederland High School for several years before going back to her alma matter for eight years and finishing her career at Thomas Jefferson.
She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur.Visitation will be on Friday, November 2, 2007 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2007 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Carl E. Bush of Port Arthur,her daughters, Linda Bush Windel and her husband, Bill and their daughter, Jessica of Nederland, Lori Bush Harris and her husband, Stacy and their children, Alexandra, Rhys and Rhiley all of Chicago, Illinois and her son, Craig Bush and his wife, Alice of Vidor and their children, Jennifer, Robert, and one great grandson, Mackenzie.
