PORT ARTHUR —
Joe Kevin Duncan, 51, of Port Arthur, TX died with his family by his side at St. Mary's Hospital on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 following a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He professed his belief in Christ at an early age. He frequently visited several churches in the Port Arthur area. Joe attended Port Arthur ISD and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1980. He served in the United States Army.
A homegoing celebration service is scheduled for Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel, with a viewing from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
Joe leaves to cherish precious and humorous memories: wife; Veronica Shields Duncan, three sons; Joe Jr., Kenneth Swallow, and Jacobi Duncan, grandchildren; Kaeson and Kennedi Swallow, father; Toby Duncan of Port Arthur, four sisters; Peggy Pier of Beaumont, TX, Brenda Queen (Paul), Cynthia Jenkins (Ray), Martini Henry (Robert), five brothers; Toby Jr., Glen (Karen), Elliott, William, Eric Duncan; play brother, Shawn Sinegal; all of Port Arthur, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother; Lena, sister; Karen, and two brothers; David and Rory Duncan.
