Curtis E. Fawvor, 97, of Port Arthur passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at home with his family by his side.
Curtis was born August 13, 1915 in Creole, Louisiana to Randolph and Ellen Fawvor.
Curtis is preceded in death by parents, Randolph Fawvor and Ellen Theriot Fawvor; loving wife, Willie Elven Fawvor; son, Curtis E. Fawvor; brothers, Claude Fawvor, Thomas Fawvor and a sister, Amable Trevino.
He is survived by son, Jeffrey Fawvor and wife Susan M. Fawvor of Huxley, Texas; daughters, Sherry Koons and Ellen Fawvor both of Port Arthur; daughter-in-law, Susan K. Fawvor of Nederland; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 25, 2013 at 2 p.m., at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
