Charles “Chuck” Cotton III, 60, of Port Arthur, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Beaumont Health Care Center. He was born on September 19, 1952, to Rose Marie Oldham and Charles Loran Cotton, Jr., in Abilene, Texas. Mr. Cotton loved football, especially watching the Texas Longhorns. He admired antique cars, loved playing dominos, and spending time with his dogs. Most of all he lived for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son, Charles Loran Cotton IV and his wife, Nicole, of Beaumont; daughters, Keeya Gillard and her husband, James, of Lumberton and Colby Leigh of Austin; grandchildren, Garrett Gillard, Dalton Campbell, Dylan Campbell, Karlee Cotton, and Abigail Johnson; mother, Rose Miller of Nederland; brothers, Michael Cotton and his wife, Elizabeth, of Houston and Vince Cotton and his wife, Sara, of Kerrville; sisters, Nina Adams and her husband, J.P., of Beaumont; Jamie Brezenski of Walwick, New Jersey; Judy Jereaux and her husband, Jerry, of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Jana Landry and her husband, Kevin, of Friendswood; and numerous cousins and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father; and step-father, Jake Miller.
A gathering of Mr. Cotton’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a memorial beginning at 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.
