SABINE PASS —
Janice Marie Peltier Alphin, 74, of Sabine Pass, Texas passed away at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas on Sunday, November 18, 2012.
She was born in Sabine Pass, Texas on March 3, 1938 to Vivian Daigle Peltier and George Peltier. Janice was a lifelong resident of Sabine Pass and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sabine Pass. She retired from the U. S. Post Office as a clerk after 25 years of service.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2012 from 5 PM to 8 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Rev. Duc Q. Duong serving as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Sabine Pass Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George “Junior” Peltier.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim Alphin and Phyllis Almond both of Sabine Pass, Texas, her son, John “Wes” Alphin of Sabine Pass, Texas, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren with one future great grandchild.
She is also survived by her sister, Loretta Heid of Sabine Pass, Texas and her brother, Gerald Peltier and wife Rosie of Sabine Pass, Texas along with several nieces and nephew, great nieces and nephews.
