Andrew “Andy” Dufour, 52 of Rosenberg, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2013.
Andy was born in Luling, Louisiana to John and Roberta Dufour on May 18, 1961. Andy served 28 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before retiring in June of 2011. He returned to the workforce in April 2012 as a detention officer with the Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation Department. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed watching baseball and working in his garden. He loved to cook for others and was best known for his brisket and crawfish. His family will remember him for his quick wit and sarcasm.
Andy is survived by his parents, John “Buddy” and Roberta Dufour of Fannett, his wife, Jill of Rosenberg, his children, son, James and wife Jennifer; daughters, Allison Dufour of Houston, and Anne Dufour of Richmond. Andy is also survived by his grandchildren, Amber, Hailey and Aiden; his brothers, Scott of Clear Lake, John and wife Janice of Richmond, as well as sister-in-law Kay McBeath and husband Dexter of Lumberton; nephews, Kurt, Jared and Darren and nieces, Mandi Breaux and Kay Cee Pride, and numerous friends and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. in the chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. Monday, June 24, 2013 in the Stateroom at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home.
