PORT ARTHUR —
Renaldo Luis Richard, Jr., 32, was born September 12, 1980. He was a lifetime resident of Port Arthur, Texas and a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1999. He loved people and always was willing to extend help to a friend in need. Renaldo was a Journeyman Electrician. He had a God given talent for landscaping, and enjoyed renovating and remodeling homes.
Renaldo met and married Eunice Harris and they built a life together in Port Arthur, until his passing. Renaldo accepted Jesus and was baptized at the age of seven.
On Saturday, April 29, 2013 at Christus Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX, Renaldo received a call from the Lord, and entered into eternal rest.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Helen Thibodeaux, Ida Hanchett and Cloney Hanchett, and Paul Richard, Sr.; also one sister, Cecilia Crittle.
He leaves to celebrate his life and memories, wife, Eunice Richard of Port Arthur; sons, Zion Paul Richard and Bryson Mire both of Port Arthur; parents; Linda and Pastor Nolan Davis and Renaldo Sr. and Catherine Richard, all of Port Arthur; grandmother, Velma Richard of Port Arthur; three sisters, Amber Richard - Randolph (Earl) of Georgia, Valerie LaPoint (fiancé, Thomas) of Port Arthur, and Danette LaPoint of Houston; four brothers, Tony LaPoint (Michelle) of Beaumont, Cedric Crittle of Port Arthur, Nolan Davis, Jr. of Houston, Melvin LaPoint (Deanna) of California.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with visitation from 9am-11am and funeral services at 11am. Rev. Curtis Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
