PORT ARTHUR —
Ena Aline Smith died at age 97 in her home in Port Arthur. Born in Abbeville, LA, February 29th, 1916 of Leon and Claudia LeBlanc. She moved with her family at age 6 to Port Arthur. She was the last living of 8 siblings. She married Archie “Smitty” Smith in 1935. Together they owned Smitty’s Gulf at the corner of Memorial Blvd. and Gulfway.
She is survived by her 2 sons; Archie Smith, Jr., and Leon Smith, 4 grandchildren; Jef and his partner, Justin, and Thad Smith and wife, Carlie, Pamela Degeyter and husband, A.J. and Leigh Ann Johnson and husband, Todd, 6 great grandchildren; Kelsey, Taylor and Halley Smith, Boden Johnson, Drue and Jarred Degeyter and many nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services for Ena Smith will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Grammier - Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
