Michael Henry Pedraza, 48, of Nederland, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013. He was born on October 24, 1964, to Alicia and Henry Pedraza, in Port Arthur, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Michael was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in the Gulf War. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Nederland, and an active participant of A.C.T.S. group.
Michael enjoyed entertaining friends and family and was always the life of any party. He was known to be very supportive and always willing to assist people.
Michael is survived by his wife of three years, Jennifer; mother, Alicia Pedraza; sister, Reneé Garsee and her husband, Nick; and brother, Andrew Pedraza, all of Nederland; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry “Hank” Pedraza.
A gathering of Mr. Pedraza’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 1, 2013, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
