Phyllis I. Davis, 72, of Genoa, AR, died Wednesday December 26, 2012 at 5.30 AM at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Davis was born Sept. 3, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was retired from St. Michaels Hospital where she was an R.N. working in P.C.U. She loved her work and truly cared for her patients. She was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin B. Buster Jr., her parents, Edwin B. Buster Sr. and Mary Buster.
Survivors include her husband, James A. Davis Sr., one daughter and son-in law, Lisa K. and Frank Gentile of Colleyville TX., one son James A. Davis Jr. of Fayetteville AR., and one sister, Joyce Beaver of Irving TX.; two granddaughter, Lauren Gentile and Krstin Gentile, two grandsons, James A. Davis III and Brad Davis; two great grandsons James A. Davis IV and Dylan Davis,and a number of nieces and nephews.
She did indeed dedicate her life to her family and loved them dearly. She was always there in time of need. She will always be remembered for her spirit and zest for living.
Services will be at East Funeral Home - Downtown in Texarkana, TX on Saturday December 29 at 2:00 PM, with James Beaver officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
