PORT NECHES —
Everette Eugene “Gene” Wilson, Sr., 77, of Port Neches, Texas died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his residence with his family surrounding him.
Gene was born September 2, 1935 in Port Neches, Texas to Evert Edward Wilson and Mary Elizabeth Naff Wilson. He was a lifelong resident of Port Neches and a retired Local 195 Pipefitter. He was a member of First United Methodist Church Port Neches, Spindletop RV Club, and Pirate Sams RV Club. He loved to water ski and was an avid bowler and a member of Golden Triangle Bowling League. He also served in the National Guard.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Elder John Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lynda Wilson of Port Neches, Texas; daughter, Billie Gail Lewis and husband Sherman of Batson, Texas; son, Everette Eugene Wilson, Jr. of Elk City, Oklahoma; step-daughters, Tammy Jo Abney of Beaumont, Texas; Elizabeth Lane Foxworth of Vidor, Texas; step-son, James Howard Prevost of Gun Barrel City, Texas; sister, Margaret Kathlene Garland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, John James Wilson of Groves, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
