— Jesse F. Philmon, our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, was born August 27, 1934 to Jesse Lee and Opal Philmon, and he passed away on March 6, 2013.
He is survived by Rosemary, his wife of 57 years, and sons Terry, Timothy, and Ryan. Grandchildren include Karina, Mindy, Jessica, Bevin, Forest, Brittany, Aiden and Brantley. Other family members include his brothers, Julius (dec.) and Jerry; sister, Judy Jolly; and in-laws: Sonny Jolly, Margaret Philmon, Connie Philmon, Hazel May, and Betty Gower.
Jesse grew up in Port Arthur, TX, graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, and then earned a Business Degree from Lamar University. He worked 37 years at Chevron in Pt. Arthur and retired as the supervisor of the IT Department. He also gave his country 37 years of military service in both the National Guard and Army Reserves. After retirement, Jesse, Rosemary and Ryan lived in Frisco, CO. before finally settling in San Antonio. Jesse was a devoted father who participated as a coach for Pop Warner football teams and Little League baseball teams. He also served his community by participating in causes important to senior citizens, as well as serving on the board of the Frisco Parks and Recreation, and as President of his HOA. Services will be held at Helotes Hills United Methodist Church at 2:30p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013. Friends are invited to the reception at the church following the services.
