PORT ARTHUR —
Clarence James Hope, 71, departed this earthly life and entered his heavenly home. He was born on March 27, 1942 to the union of Robert Hope Sr. and Julia Hope. He was a 1960 graduate of Dunbar High School in Texarkana, TX and served in the United States Army. He retired from Motiva Enterprise after 34 years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Riley Hope, Jr.; and his son, Tony Hope.
Left to cherish his life and memories are his wife of 21 years, Ella Hope; Children, Ronnie Hope (Sylvia), Larry Hope (Jacqueline), Michelle Hope, Clifton McCrea III (Fralena), Melissa Dixon (James), Patrick McCrea (Monica) and Stephanie “Renee” McCrea; Aunts, Louise Lindon and Mozell LeDay; Siblings, Patricia Cole (Henry), Larry Hope (Valeria), Shelton Hope (Ann), Johnny Hope, Kenneth Hope, Sandra Boudreaux (Louis), Ricky Hope, Barbara Hope, and Isabell Hope; 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; two close friends, Clifton McCrea Jr., and Lester “June” Sanders; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15th, 2014 at 2 p.m. with a visitation from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
