Warren Eugene Jackson, 88, of Tyler, Texas (formerly of Port Arthur) passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Azalea Place Nursing Home in Tyler.
He was born on August 6, 1924 in Florala, Alabama to Laurence and Sarah Ann Quick Jackson.
Warren lived in Port Arthur for 40 years and spent his last few years in Tyler. He was retired as a chemist from Great Lakes Carbon.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2013 in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Dr. Roy James officiating.
A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Annie Jackson and his son, James “Ricky” Jackson.
He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Jackson of Hodgen, OK, Linda Tyler and husband, Terry of Tyler, TX. and Carol Sue Odiorne and husband, Jack of Bali, Indonesia, two sons, Bill Jackson and wife, Mary Ellen of Steubenville, OH., and George Jackson and wife, Bernadette of Tucson, AZ., sister, Betty Hodges and Sam Watson of Milledgeville, GA., ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
