PORT ARTHUR —
Clinton Joseph James, 59, of Port Arthur went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. He was born in St. Martinville, LA and a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. “Clint” was a 1972 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a United States Navy Veteran.
He is survived by the love of his life, Debbra James, who he was married to for 18 years; two sons Thurston Jackson and Edmond Hurts III all of Port Arthur, TX; one daughter Angela Perreau of Houston, TX; his mother, Betty James; two brothers Eric James (Damitra) and Herbert James; one sister, Gail James all of Port Arthur, TX; 8 grandchildren; host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. Marks Baptist Church, 6200 Roosevelt (El Vista) with a viewing from 9 a.m. until service time. Rev. Eric Guidry, Pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
