Bunkie, Louisiana — Hermeion Alpough Jacquet

 

Hermeion Jacquet was born to the union of the late Curley, Sr. and Alezier Alpough on June 25, 1933 in Bunkie, Louisiana. She later moved to Port Arthur, Texas, attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, and later married the late Phillip Leroy Jacquet, the father of her four children.

Hermeion was employed at Memorial Herman Baptist hospital in Houston for 5 years as a nurse aide.  She was later employed by the transportation department of the Beaumont Independent School District as a bus driver for 15 years before retirement.

In addition to her parents, Hermeion is proceeded in death by her brothers, Curley, Jr., Udolph, Vanary, and Joseph Alpough; and sisters, Melvina Ramirez,  Carolyn Zebb,  and Earline Claude.

She leaves to cherish her memories four loving children Phyllis Dang (Freddie), of San Antonio, TX, Phillip Jacquet (Pamela) of Lancaster, TX, Jonathan Jacquet, I and his wife Vickie, a very devoted daughter in law, of Port Arthur, TX, and Lena Chandler of Houston, TX; three brothers, Greg Alpough (Emma) of Houston, TX, Timothy Alpough, and Earrigton "Nick" Alpough, of Port Arthur, TX; two sisters, Cynthia Larcarte and Dianne Alpough of Beaumont, TX, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A special thanks to Dr. Anthony Gambrah, a dear and special friend, Doris Martin who cared for her until the end, to the dedicated staff of Renal Ventures, and Wendy Wright of Angels Above Us.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart – St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with visitation from 8-10AM.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
