Linda (Turpin) Arnold

— Feb. 8, 1941 – July 31, 2013

   Linda the youngest daughter of Vincent and Vivian Turpin was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma.  Linda became an accomplished organist and pianist. She studied classical music and hymnology.  Linda also taught many students in several states and in colleges which she attended. As head of music departments in several local churches; she lead as organist, pianist and choral director of sacred music.

   Linda has been responsible for inspiring and training many music students in the reaching of their goals and fulfilling their cherished dreams.

 Linda and Robert Lee (Bob) Arnold were married June 30, 1962, and recently celebrated their 51st Wedding Anniversary.

   She and Bob retired from the ministry in the Beaumont Port Arthur area, and have resided in Tyler, Texas for the last four years.

  She was preceded in death by her son Tim Arnold.

   She is survived by her Husband Robert L. (Bob) Arnold, Daughter Tamara Miguez, and son in law John, her Grandchildren Lanedon and Lahanna Miguez, her sister Marcia and husband Ron Howland and Grandchildren Meghan and Dylan Been.

   Our family has been so blessed in having an Angel for a Wife, Mother, Grammy/ Mimi, and Sister for 72 years.

   We praise our Heavenly Father that she is now blessed with a new beautiful glorified body.

   There was a celebration service in her honor held at Green Acres Baptist Church, Tyler TX. Saturday, August 3rd 2013, at 11:00am.
