Carolyn Ann Sallier

PORT ARTHUR —    Carolyn Ann Sallier was born on September 22, 1956, and made her transition into eternal rest on June 6, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, Texas. Carolyn was a member of St. John Baptist Church and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1975.

   Preceding her in death was her father, Wilford Joseph; grandmother, Hannah B. Hall; step-father, Nathan J. White; and five uncles, Roosevelt Hall, James D. Hall, Frank Hall, Howard Hall and Alvis Hall.

   Carolyn was a truly devoted and loving wife and mother who would give unselfishly whenever asked. Her love and kind sprit will be missed by all who are left to cherish her memory: her husband, Van Sallier I ; her mother, Ora Lee White; her children, Tania Sallier Augustine (Jereem), Chandra Kennerson (Patrick), George Sallier III (Rashaunda), Van Sallier II (Krystale), LeeAnn Sallier (Christopher), Crystal Sallier, and Kharma Sallier; her two brothers, Steven Metoyer (Barbara) and Danaan Joseph (Misty), and a host of relatives and friends.

   A visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. John Baptist Church. Funeral services are immediately following at 11 a.m., with Reverend Elijah James officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
