Billie Jean Griner of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Friday afternoon December 6th at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, Texas.
She was born an only child to the late Eugene and Bessie Belcher on May 25, 1929 in Kemp, Texas. She later moved to Port Neches where she married the late Willard Robert Griner of Port Neches on August 27, 1955. To that union were born two daughters; Janis Blizzard and Brenda Griner Land.
A long-time resident of Port Neches Mrs. Griner worked at Port Neches Groves High School in the Port Neches Groves Independent School District where she retired in 1989 after 23 years of service. Mrs. Griner was actively involved in her community and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Port Neches.
Mrs. Griner is survived by her daughter Janis Blizzard and son-in-law Bill Blizzard of Clear Lake, Texas, their two children daughter Savannah Blizzard of Houston, Texas and son Cameron Blizzard of College Station, Texas and her daughter Brenda Griner Land and son-in-law Charles Land of Port Neches, Texas and his daughter Chloe Land.
Visitation will be held at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches on Tuesday December 10th 2013 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will commence at Levingston Funeral Home on December 11th at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Wesley Welborn officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
