Funeral Services for Wendell E. Foreman will be at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, January 19th, 2014, at Hixson - Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana. Visitation will be on Sunday starting at 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
A long time resident of Sulphur, he was a 1976 graduate of Sulphur High School. Mr. Foreman died peacefully on Tuesday, January 14th, 2014, at the age of 56.
Wendell is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Sandra Carpenter Foreman, sister Suzie Carr and husband Charles, of Sulphur, brother Alan Foreman and wife Roxanne, of Cumberland, Maryland, stepson David Schofield, of Moss Bluff, sister-in-law Jackie Farris and husband Steve, also of Sulphur, and several nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilliard S. and Thelma D. Foreman, and brother David E. Foreman.
He was a long time employee of the Isle of Capri as a member of the surveillance team, having been previously employeed as a Graphic Artist.
Wendell's passion in life was music. He was an accomplished bass player, and is well known, having played in such bands as The Crawford-Foreman Band, Phase Two, and The Zydeco Brothers.
He was truly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
