PORT ARTHUR —
Louis “Booney” Zeigler, 58, of Port Arthur died Saturday, October 20, 2013, at Southeast Medical Center Hospital. He was born February 28, 1955. He was a native of Orange, Texas and a resident of Port Arthur, Texas. Louis was a 1974 graduate of Lutcher Stark High School. He retired from STI Group. He was a welder by trade and loved fishing and cooking.
A visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. until funeral services. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Ransom E. Howard, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Memorial Park under the directions of Gabriel Funeral Home.
Preceding Louis in death, father Louis Zeigler Sr.; brothers, Wesley James and William Zeigler.
Cherishing his memories: His devoted wife Janet Roberts; two sons, Jermire (RaNysha) Roberts, and Calvin (Tammy) Roberts; two daughters he raised, TaKilwa (Leslie) Roberts Harmanson and Terraney Roberts, all of Port Arthur; mother, Nina Mae Zeigler of Orange Texas, four brothers: Louis Miller (Betty) Zeigler, George Earl Zeigler, and Minister Leneal (Bernice) Zeigler of Orange, Texas and Jessie Tee (Virginia) Zeigler of Stockton California; four sisters: Minister Georgia Mae Beasley of Beaumont, Joyce (James) Mims of Port Arthur, Minister Nina Faye Zeigler and Chattie (James) Moore of Orange, Texas, one aunt; Chattie Williams of Grambling, Louisiana, 10 grandchildren, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
