William "Bill" Comeaux

GROVES —    William “Bill” Comeaux 86, of Groves passed away Saturday September 28, 2013 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

   Bill was born on April 8, 1927 in New Iberia, Louisiana to Remy Comeaux and Clemance Landry Comeaux. He was a resident of Groves for 44 years and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council #3491 of Groves. Bill was a retired barber from the City Barber Shop in Groves  with 42 years of service. He was also a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army.

  Bill was preceded in death by his son Dwight Comeaux, ten brothers and two sisters.

   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves at 10:00 a.m. with Monsignor Kenneth G. Greig officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday October 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus Immaculate Conception Council #3491 of Groves.

   Bill is survived by his wife Verna Comeaux of Groves, son Greg Comeaux and wife Geneva of Many, Louisiana, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
