Loynee “Lonnie” Guidry, 80, of Port Neches, died Friday, January 18, 2013. She was born in Kaplan, Louisiana, to Evia and Felix Hebert, and had been a resident of the area since 1952. Loynee married her husband, Eugene Guidry, on July 16, 1947, in Kaplan, Louisiana, and spent sixty-two years as his loving wife. She devoted her life to her faith, family, and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Guidry and his wife, Beth, of Call and Francis Guidry of Port Neches; daughter, Tami Carlos and her husband, Robert, of Port Acres; grandchildren, Tari Donnelly, Troy Guidry, Toni Deemer, Rion, Casey, Kyle, and Drew Carlos and Chad and Scott Guidry; great-grandchildren, Jordon, Codie, and Garrett Mears, Kolton Donnelly, Kylie Guidry, Dalton, Dilon, and Tiffany Deemer, Damion, Akira and Bromley Guidry, and Sean Guidry; great-great-grandchild, Alexis Deemer; sister, Merlyne Guidry and her husband, Rufus, of Shreveport, Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Irene Broussard and Hilda Perrin; and brother-in-law, Lyness Guidry.
Loynee is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Eugene Guidry.
A gathering of Mrs. Guidry’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
