PORT ARTHUR —
Robert B. Nelson, Jr. was born on September 21, 1950 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was called home on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Christus St. Mary Hospital. He was a resident of Port Arthur, TX for 40 years and a graduate of Paul Breaux High School in Lafayette, LA. He was a United States Navy veteran and retired from the City of Port Arthur. He was pastor of Holy Tabernacle COGIC.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories of his life his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Pamela Nelson and also four children, Robert B. Nelson III (Karenton), Shaunquina Nelson Brown, Robin Stevens (Renaldo), and Eunesha Pitre (Tyrus); grandchild Clevonna Stevens; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2013 at New Light Baptist Church with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Bishop Prince Bryant will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
