Edward “Buddy” Arnold Bodin
PORT ARTHUR - Edward “Buddy” Arnold Bodin, 68, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on July 5, 1939 to Leslie Mae Williams Bodin and George Joseph Bodin.
Buddy was a self employed professional glass cleaner for over 40 years, he worked all over the Golden Triangle area for several business establishments.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Cliff Rucker, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Buddy is survived by his son Chris Bodin of Orange, Texas, his sister Martha Davis of Nederland, Texas, his brothers Francis Bodin and Robert Bodin both of Port Arthur, Texas along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
Doris Joseph Gary
Doris Joseph Gary, 90, of Conroe, Texas passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Almost Home Personal Care in Conroe. He was born August 19, 1917 to Eliza Dore Gary and Valcourt Gary.
Doris served in the U. S. Army during WWII, where he was involved in the landing at Normandy, recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He was a resident of Port Arthur for over 70 years before moving to Conroe to be closer to his family.
He retired from the Texas Company (Texaco) as an operator after over 30 years of service.
A gathering of friends and family will be on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 P.M. in the Clayton Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Doris was preceded in death by his wife Irene Marie Gary, who passed away March 2007, his step daughter Patsy Chauvin, as well as his parents and all twelve of his siblings. He is survived by his daughter Gwen Stanley and her husband Greg of Willis, Texas, grandchildren Rebecca Stanley, Jonell Chauvin and Tammy Colicci along with great grandchildren Natasha, Danny, Anthony, Patty and Preston.
