Nederland 10 year olds fall to Fannett

NEDERLAND — It was a long evening for the 10-year-old Nederland All Stars Wednesday against Fannett.
The Nederland squad was eliminated from the District 32 Tournament after falling to Fannett, 10-3.
Fannett now faces Port Neches at Port Neches Little League at 7 p.m. Friday.
Nederland’s night fell apart in the second and third innings when errors really did a number on the team.
Donte Zeno of Fannett was the winning pitcher while Duce Green took the loss on the mound for Nederland.
Nederland had three errors in the third inning which allowed Fannett to take a commanding lead. Fannett was up 9-1 headed into the bottom of the fourth.
Nederland would tack on two late runs to avoid the game ending in a mercy-rule.
