Busy week ahead at Nederland Senior Center

NEDERLAND — The center will have a busy week this week.  The Lamar College student nurses will be having a presentation on Thursday morning and they always bring such valuable information pertaining to seniors.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn something new or reminded of something we might have forgotten.  Also Walter Boyd will be bringing some great music to the center.  Be sure and get here early and stay for lunch.

The quilting ladies are working on two quilts, one traditional quilting and the other is crazy quilt.  You are welcome to come and help on either one.  Also we have a very hard puzzle that we are working on and we need help. Each day there are folks playing games and on Friday we have Bingo.

So you can see, there is no need to sit home all alone, come to the center you might meet an old friend of make a new one.  Where else can you have fun, hear good music, have a nutritious lunch, watch TV, read the paper or just have a cup of coffee??  Its really a bargain.  You can even get a free manicure on Thursdays.  So hopefully we will see you soon.

We are also accepting garage sale items for our next garage sale next month.  No clothes are accepted at this time.  We are not really equipped to handle clothing.  So if you have anything to donate, we appreciate your help.

Everyone is welcome at the center and if you would like to eat lunch with us, call Diane at 727-5230 the day before you wish to eat so she can order your lunch since reservations are needed.  Hope to see you soon.  Come on down and bring a friend.

The Nederland Senior Citizen Center is located at 914 Boston Avenue, in Nederland, Texas.  The center is opened from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
