The search is on for an alpine tree

NEDERLAND — We are still accepting items for our next garage sale.  So if you can help us out, we would appreciate it. Thanks to everyone who has donated items already.  We have some great merchandise waiting to go to a good home.  On thing we are requesting and hoping someone wants to donate alpine tree.  Hopefully some will have one to donate to the center.

Walter Boyd and his musicians will be back on  the 17th, so you can start making plans to be here on that date.  The nurses will also have a presentation that day so there will be lots to see and hear.  So don't forget Oct. 1.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays ladies and guys are playing games.  Wednesday the ladies are quilting and Thursdays ladies are doing crafts or getting their nails done.  Of course all of this is free.  Friday is Bingo day with prizes.

The center is located at 914 Boston Ave., one block off Twin City highway in Nederland and is opened from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.  Lunch is served at 11:30 A.M. and if you would like a nutritious lunch, please call Diane the day before you would like to eat since reservations are needed.

You don't have to play games, there is always a puzzle in the works, you can come have a cup of coffee and a snack or just visit and chat with an old friend or make a new one.  There are a few guys who used to work together in the plants who sit around and talk and have coffee.  That is better than sitting home alone.  Everyone needs to get out and chat with old friends so hope to see you soon.
