PORT ARTHUR —
Two Port Arthur men are behind bars after robbing a woman at gunpoint, sexually assaulting her and kidnapping her Tuesday morning.
Port Arthur Police Department responded to a call from a female at about 1:50 a.m. July 2. The female victim told police she had been at her home with her boyfriend in the 1500 block of St. Augustine when they were approached by several men who were hiding on the side of the residence, according to a press release from PAPD. Both the female and her boyfriend were held at gunpoint.
The victim told police she was taken inside the residence and the boyfriend was held by one of the suspects outside. It is believed that the female was possibly sexually assaulted while inside the home.
The suspects then took the woman against her will and drove to 2705 Memorial Blvd. and attempted to get her to use an ATM card at that location. The woman was able to alert the clerk and get away from the male suspect. Once notified, the suspect fled the store in the victim’s vehicle. The female was transported to Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth in Beaumont for treatment. The male victim was not injured.
Officers were able to locate at least two of the suspects and they were brought in for questioning. PAPD Sgt. Scott Gaspard said two men have been arrested in connection with the incident. They include: Domminique Adams, 18, of Port Arthur, who was charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and aggravated sexual assault, and Bronson Williams, 25, of Port Arthur, who was charged with aggravated robbery.
The incident remains under investigation.
